Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using SofeaApp as a parent or legal guardian.

By using the SofeaApp application, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and using SofeaApp, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

2. User Requirements

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will be supervised.
  • You have legal authority to monitor your child's digital activity.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials, including email and password, confidential.
  • Inform the child that their device is being supervised. Open communication is recommended.
  • Use the application in accordance with applicable law.
  • Do not misuse child data for commercial or illegal purposes.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use SofeaApp to:

  • Monitor adults without their consent, including illegal stalking.
  • Monitor a child who is not under your legal supervision.
  • Disrupt our services, servers, or networks.
  • Reverse engineer the application or attempt to access source code.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates the laws of your jurisdiction.

5. Service and Availability

We try to keep the service available during business hours, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00 WIB, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

6. Subscription and Payment

SofeaApp provides services under a subscription model:

  • Free Trial: New users receive a free trial according to the settings that apply at registration. After the trial ends, access to certain features may be limited until you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • Paid Plans: Several packages are available with different durations and prices. Active package details can be viewed in the app on the Subscription page.
  • Payment Methods: Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your credit card details or bank account information.
  • Automatic Activation: Your subscription becomes active after payment is confirmed.
  • No Automatic Renewal: Your subscription ends on the stated date. You need to renew manually if you want to continue.

6.1 Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed case by case within 7 days after purchase, provided the service has not been substantially used. Contact support@sofeaapp.my.id and include proof of payment.

6.2 Price Changes

We may change package prices in the future. Price changes will not affect an active subscription until its current period ends.

7. Content and Copyright

All logos, designs, and application code are the property of SofeaApp. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose.

8. Disclaimer

SofeaApp is a supervision aid and is not a substitute for parenting. We are not responsible for:

  • Parenting decisions you make based on data from the application.
  • Damage to a child's device caused by use of SofeaKids or SofeaKids Plus.
  • 100% accuracy of location data, because GPS depends on the device and signal quality.
  • Personal conflicts between you and your child caused by supervision.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months. For free services, the maximum liability is Rp 0.

10. Multi-Parent Feature

You may invite another parent or guardian to monitor the same child. By inviting them, you confirm that:

  • The person you invite is a parent or legal guardian of the child.
  • Each linked parent has the same access to the child's data.
  • You are responsible for managing who you invite.
  • Additional parent access can be removed at any time through the application.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms of Use, your account is inactive for 12 consecutive months, or there is a valid request from a lawful authority.

You may close your account at any time through the account deletion flow in the application or by contacting support.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced at least 7 days before they take effect through email or an app notification.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will be resolved by discussion first, and if unresolved, through the competent District Court.
